RIBBONFIN CONTRABAND PARTY

After a ridiculous long Quidditch game, a heart-breaking loss, a mysteriously missing golden snitch, and the warning of an upcoming cabin search, the Ribbonfin House has decided to have a little "contraband party." Mostly, it's a little bonfire get together to sulk and eat a lot of junk food. Maybe bash a little on the Ebonhides, who knows.

RULES

ONLY Ribbonfin's allowed. No party crashers!

Everyone bring something to eat!

If you can, bring plates/napkins/cups - smuggle them if you have to!

The party dies just before Curfew, but a few may linger longer - the likelihood of getting in trouble is very low.

Actual contraband may be consumed/disposed of here but PREFECTS ARE WATCHING so, it's at your own risk!

BONFIRE - Where they all hang out - who's chatting, who's cuddling, commiserate in this section etc etc

SNACKS - Post what all they brought here!!

CONTRABAND - Did they have anything they really needed to get rid of?

OOC - Questions, comments, etc

Ursula sincerely hopes this isn't actually anyone's magnum opus, but there's a certain whimsy to the creation that's appealing. Not that she's going to admit that she approached Xavier fully intending to sample his sugar coma sandwich. There are appearances that must be maintained.

Frankly she's a little surprised he hasn't started looking for the nearest escape route, since he's not exactly been subtle about it this last week.

"No problem." He exclaims as he splits the sandwich in half. He's careful to hand Ursula her half (third?) in such a way that she can take it without getting melted marshmallow all over herself.

"Hey, um, I was thinking," Xavier says as he raises the carbohydrate sandwich to his mouth, "About the crowns and LARP and how you could incorporate your crown into the game..."

The mention of Ursula's crown immediately excites her attention. "Oh?" she blurts out and then quickly covers her mouth, looking embarassed. Her crown had been resting in a place of honor on her desk since they'd won, but the prospect of getting to wear it out in public for a reason was quick to pique her curiosity.

After taking a moment to properly clear her mouth of the sugar monstrosity - why did no one have contraband milk?? - she continues, "What did you have in mind?"

Ursula's reaction seems to buoy Xavier's excitement. "Oh man, I have the best plan." He shoves his breakfast-cereal-marshmallow-creation in his mouth and rubs his hands together to get any excess fluff off his hands. Tastes like sugar. Maybe not a magnum opus.

After a moment of arduous chewing, he reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a piece of paper. He leans in and unfolds the paper conspiratorially. "Ordinarily," he says, but his mouth isn't actually empty yet, so he chews some more and swallows before repeating himself, "Ordinarily, head slot is intelligence. But we don't really use numbers so much, right? So, I came up with some stuff that will synergize really well with your bardic song abilities..."

There are a few Potions notes scrawled on the first few lines, but the rest of the page consists of three hand drawn tables with numbers and notes. And a doodle of a swan. Sorry Mr. Elmasry.

Being a giant LARP nerd does not fit in the Ursula de Luca brand. Which, wow, okay, she doesn't actually qualify as a giant nerd compared to people like Ravi, but she does look forward to the Saturday sessions for more reason than just so people have to call her 'princess'. (Her playacting has improved! Somewhat!)

She scoots in closer and chews at her bottom lip as she reads over Xavier's proposals. Thanks to Rafael's guidance, she's able to spot a good min-max when she sees one. (She's also thankful Xavier's doodling veers towards waterfowl rather than boobs.) "Oh, I really like these. Especially this one," she comments, pointing to the third box. And then a pause. "You didn't have to do this."

"Ahh," Xavier waves his free hand, dismissive, "it's nothing. I figured, you got that crown, you should be able to use it, yeah? And it's kind of an apology for, like, being so embarrassing. I'll make you a copy. I should, uh, hang on to the original, for the notes I did take, at least."

He straightens his legs out, feet toward the fire as he stuffs the paper back in his pocket. "You'll probably have to convince the group that the crown isn't crazy overpowered." A laugh. "But that's, like, your thing, so you got this."
