RIBBONFIN CONTRABAND PARTY

After a ridiculous long Quidditch game, a heart-breaking loss, a mysteriously missing golden snitch, and the warning of an upcoming cabin search, the Ribbonfin House has decided to have a little "contraband party." Mostly, it's a little bonfire get together to sulk and eat a lot of junk food. Maybe bash a little on the Ebonhides, who knows.

RULES

ONLY Ribbonfin's allowed. No party crashers!

Everyone bring something to eat!

If you can, bring plates/napkins/cups - smuggle them if you have to!

The party dies just before Curfew, but a few may linger longer - the likelihood of getting in trouble is very low.

Actual contraband may be consumed/disposed of here but PREFECTS ARE WATCHING so, it's at your own risk!

BONFIRE - Where they all hang out - who's chatting, who's cuddling, commiserate in this section etc etc

SNACKS - Post what all they brought here!!

CONTRABAND - Did they have anything they really needed to get rid of?

OOC - Questions, comments, etc

Ennis doesn't have as impressive of a collection as Ivy, but he still has a lot of food he's been hoarding. They're all handmade from what appears to be his attempts at new pastry decorating techniques. They taste great and he's definitely got the baking part down, but their designs aren't as crisp and neat as Cecil's are although each cookie and cupcake looks a bit more aesthetically pleasing than the last. On some designs, it's clear he gave up halfway through because the piping starts off with careful effort and ends up with a frustrated glob of icing and a frowny face drawn on it instead.

There's one set of cookies in a tupperware container that he's unusually protective over. He keeps the container closed and in his lap or at his feet while he sits at the bonfire. From a glance, the treats inside are white, pink, and red, obviously left over from Valentine's day.

	"Hey Ennis, these are awesome. Did you make these?" Nothing is better than home-made baked goods - Avery isn't particularly handy in the kitchen but she does appreciate a good cupcake, croissant, etc. She does spy the other container though, and raises a brow. "I did! Sorry some of them look funny... They're still good, I just didn't have the heart to throw them away."

He follows her gaze to his container and smooths his hand over the lid. "Oh, these are from my Grandpa?" He gently pries the lid back to show her the very intricate cookies inside. "They're too pretty to eat, but I don't want to be forced to throw them away, but I also don't want to be forced to eat them. I think I'm just going to keep them in my desk and hope the teachers don't say anything about it? They're just looking for stolen jewelry, right? And real contraband? I know food isn't allowed, but maybe they'll let me keep it if I explain?"

"They look great." She said, taking one of the ones with a frowny face - because she thought it was adorable and fit her general mood today.

She watches as he peels back the lid, staring at the beautiful little cookies inside. "Oh." She replied, a slight tone of surprise and mild admiration. They were really nice looking cookies. "Ennis, these things aren't really contraband. No one is going to make you eat or throw away your cookies." Avery reassured him, patting his shoulder.

Ennis shakes his head sadly. "No, they are contraband. We're not allowed to have food in the cabin because of bears." He replaces the lid on the container, pressing down on the center of it to try to push out the air and preserve the cookies for a little while longer. "And bears don't think cookies are too pretty to eat. They just eat them without really admiring them first. They have no concept of aesthetics."

"But not the kind of contraband they are going to take away or make you throw away. Given what they are looking for, they probably won't even bat an eyelash at it." She countered, taking another bite of the pastry - dang they really were good. "Besides, they're in a container. Proper storage and all that. I wouldn't worry about it. I'd hold on to them here, though, hungry Ribbonfins and all." She teased, laughing a little. "But you should definitely hide them somewhere the idiot, non-aesthetically inclined bears can't get to them."

In addition to what remains of his lodge score from earlier in the day, Xavier donates a myriad of cookies and crackers - mostly triscuits because who can resist a baby waffle - and his entire collection of aerosol can-based foods (a can of whipped cream, a can of chocolate mousse and two cans of ez cheese) because the last thing he needs is the staff thinking he does whippets.

It's a wonder Zav was able to fit any clothes into his luggage when he came to school this year.

He casts a lingering, mournful gaze on the can of whipped cream before heading over to the campfire, boxes of processed sugar-flavored cereal under arm.

Chloe was immediately upset at the inspection announcement, until Rosy made it clear that sealed snacks wouldn't be confiscated, and it was only the open ones that had to go. She still has... a lot of junk food that was open. There's a ridiculously large bag of Skittles, a family sized bag of Doritos, half a bag of Cheezits, a sleeve of chocolate chip cookies, and a partial bag of M&Ms, and ~~Rosy told her she couldn't finish it all off alone~~ she's here to share.
