I keep thinking to myself, why does Diego have to be so complicated? I like spending time with him. I think he's kind and funny and surprisingly clever. But... God, he cheated on Tabitha. He drinks too much. He regularly does these ridiculous things to break the rules, which makes it hard enough to be his friend and a prefect at the same time, never mind if I was... you know.

We're all complicated. Diego is simply complicated in a very obvious, very troubling way.

But I imagine that's part of what might make him attractive. Especially to us Ribbonfin types.

It's all right to have feelings for someone who confuses you, or someone you don't entirely like or trust all the way through, or someone you think you shouldn't. I imagine you know that. But sometimes it's helpful to hear things you already know.

Is Diego aware of this?
