Ana is a bundle of nerves this morning, which isn't like her. Looking around at all the other players, she questions whether she belongs there. She's the youngest keeper trying out, and without Sy to scream at her at first, she finds herself a little overwhelmed.
This doesn't last long, however.
Once she's put on her broom, those nerves vanish. She sees how many of her team are trying out, and it inexplicably gives her the boost she needs. Not only that, but Quidditch is her life. It's always been the one thing she can count on, the one thing that sets her apart from a family that ignores her. She's got this. When the drills start, she just acts like it's a game. Her natural agility on a broom shines, and it's like she's keyed into every quaffle that comes towards her. There's no knocking her off today, either. She's in the zone, thinking of how Sy will be disappointed if she lets any past. They're better than this. Their record has no bearing on skill, and Ana is still very much of the belief that they're the best team and she will play professionally as she's dreamed for so long.
