After talking with Calvin for a time, Cole (still sharing his friend's cloak) reaches out to place his hands on the planchette again. The conversation they'd had about his brother reminded him of something else. He waits until the others have asked their questions, then borrows the words that Ree had used before and interjects, "You said you're not malevolent toward Gooseberry. But is your brother?"
