Ty Hawkeswood ([info]tyhawkeswood) wrote in [info]gooseberry,
Ty & Quinn - Who needs camping?
Ty is exhausted when it's time to leave Quinn's cabin the next morning, running on little sleep and emotionally drained after a night full of high highs and low lows.

Much of the night had been spent just hanging out, sitting shoulder to shoulder in Quinn's bunk while they talked and joked about anything and everything. There had also been a gratuitous amount of touching and kissing and fooling around, a familiar pleasure that had been intensified and made new by the luxury of being truly alone. Able to explore and experiment and take their time. In a bed and everything. All of this had been amazing. Beyond amazing.

As the night had gone on, though, and this had given way to gentler contact (cuddling? had they been cuddling?) and quieter conversations...Quinn had asked him about this week. Whether his transparent lies about being sick had been true or if something else had been wrong. If it had anything to do with the Parent-Teacher Conferences now just a few hours away. While he'd hesitated...he'd come clean. A little. He'd told her that he didn't get along with his parents. He'd told her that Jovian and Camilla Hawkeswood are the worst kind of pure-bloods: old money, notorious elitists, hateful purists, and impossible to please. At least, impossible for him to please, though he could never stop himself from trying. He'd told her that having them here would feel wrong and that he was afraid of what they'd say and who they'd say it too. That conversation hadn't been wonderful. It hadn't even been cathartic. But...Quinn had vowed to come to his rescue from time to time throughout the weekend. He didn't want her to have to cross paths with his parents, but he couldn't stop himself from being grateful just the same.

The two of them had finally gone to sleep at about 3AM. But now it's 5AM and, here he is, disheveled and yawing and standing in front of the Azurcrest dorm with his t-shirt on backward and a smile that mostly seems to remember the wonderful parts of the night. "Sorry that got weird," he tells her a little sheepishly, "But I....you...it was great." His eyebrows rise and he suggests playfully (and a bit hopefully), "Maybe the stars will align and we can do it again?"
