But no. It wasn't an opportunity. You don't know what the hell would've happened if you'd opened that door. Except that it's very possible it could've taken away at least one of you, like it literally admitted it did to Wes. Why would you have invited that.

I honestly think that no one treating this thing like their friend is being wise. And they shouldn't be investigating at all. I get the draw, I do. But without the right tools, and this way? It's going to backfire. You did the right thing.

I don't think Robin and Chris were fucking with us. I think they're short-sighted blowhards that're having fun chasing mysteries. It's not real to them because it hasn't impacted them directly (just a roommate that they apparently don't give a shit about), so they're treating it like a game without any real consequences. Fuck them.

I don't know whether people should be investigating or not. You're right that nobody's got the tools or the experience to do this right and things could backfire, but things have been escalating lately too. It's hard to do nothing and to be on the defensive all the time. Not that it matters what we think. It's basically sanctioned with Quayle and Honeychurch and Dhaliwal involved anyway, so they're not going to stop.
