All of this fog almost makes me yearn for the horribly inconvenient buddy system. I keep thinking I see people wandering off the path, but it's just my eyes playing tricks on me. It always ends up being more trees. ~~But sometimes it really looks l~~

Duelling's going to go late, and with all the fog, we should walk back in groups. It's just sensible. Visibility will only get worse as the sun goes down.

Look, Calvin... Perhaps it's time we clear the air? Now, I can see you're in no mood to speak to me, and I don't hold that against you. I don't expect a response to this.

But regardless. I want you to know that I consider you one of my dear friends, and nothing which occurred last month has changed that. I'm glad you came to this school. I'm glad to have met you. I'm very glad to see you grow more comfortable here and make friends with people in this house ~~and in your year~~.

Please don't let me be the element which ruins that. I suppose it's possible we could simply spend the next six months not acknowledging each other until I graduate, but that seems terribly awkward given how unavoidable my presence is around the school. I'd rather we be friends, Calvin. I very much want to stay friends with you.
