Who: Zeke and Di
When: After this.
Where: Outside the Ebonhide Sophomore cabin.
What: Convincing Di it's the right choice.
Warnings: Unlikely.

As soon as the matchmaking list was up and people were reacting poorly to the matches- having not signed up themselves- Zeke decided that he might have to convince his intended dance partner to go with the flow of it. He knew Di from Choir, as it was their only crossover time, but he also paid attention to the cheerleaders during games. She did not seem the type, from what he could remember, to put herself out there like Zeke assumed those that purposefully signed up would. So he was set to go with the flow of it all.

Happily standing outside her cabin, Zeke had a small army of tiny snowmen in a half circle behind him. His dimples deep in his cheeks as a grin spread ear to ear, Zeke held an enchanted flower. The small purple flower glowed softly in the darkness. Each speckle on its soft petals twinkled like the night sky above. It was made of a few quick charms but looked as if it had been grown from a fallen star.

"My army was ready." He held out the flower to beckon her closer to take it.

Di signed up for Bae's matchmaking services, regularly, for one reason and one reason alone: experience. Though she didn't have any real romantic ambitions, she did feel that, to accurately and powerfully portray roles that involved romance, she had to have something to draw on from her real life. Thus, there she was, bundled up in her coat, boots, scarf, hat, and heating charm, despite only just stepping outside of her cabin, looking at a display of snowmen and dimples and a glowing flower that she didn't expect.

It was a bit over the top.

She shot him a smile, a laugh creeping into her tone. "Did you have all this prepared for whichever girl you ended up paired with, or did I really inspire this display?"

"Honestly, the flower was prepared. The snowmen are because I like building them. They were already started when I sent the message."

Zeke continued to grin. He was not some romantic fool. Sure he had dated a few people, but in the end, he preferred a level of friends with benefits than having a romantic relationship. Hell, they were still in Highschool, they had time to form strong romantic bonds with others. It had been one of the reasons Zeke had signed up for Bae's services, other than telling her that it was a trade. Had the matchmaking not been successful, Bae would have been asked.

"I hope that doesn't take away from the flower's amazingness. Gunna come get it? I promise the snowmen are not currently charmed."

Di felt her shoulder relaxed. A gesture he had in stock was much better than one he prepared especially for her. "It's a beautiful flower," she reassured him, and went down the steps of her cabin to meet him and retrieve it.

She gave him another smile as she sniffed the flower, not really because she had any desire to know its smell, but, she realized, because her body just assumed that was the natural thing to do. She briefly wondered if it was a bad idea of hers to go along with his back and forth, if it lead to him coming here, because she had no idea what him "convincing" her was to entail and assumed the situation was likely to fall into awkwardness. "A very convincing gesture," she commented.

"Good," he laughed. "It was all I had prepared." Zeke shrugged and gestured to the snowmen. "Other than my army, who will likely be charmed to sit outside my cabin and throw snowballs at people." The level of convincing usually changed on who he had to convince, and one he got her to come outside for the present, Zeke was more apt to plead his case than to give any other gestures or gifts.

"So? I think it would be a big insult to not take Bae up on the match she put so much thought and time into." There was a mocking tone to his voice, though it was in good humour. He more imagined Bae sitting there with the list and snickering as she picked. It was a good way of going about it. Zeke knew he would be amused when he decided on it.

"What do you say?"
