Setting up a mistletoe run-in with a girl I like is something my sister would do, which automatically makes it suspicious.

It's clockworky and has some spells on it that I think stop other people from opening it. I actually thought it was a clock when she gave it to me until I tried to take it apart. I think she said her grandfather made it?

Putting her in a situation where she might feel obligated to kiss me cause you know I like her is a set-up! Anyway, it doesn't matter, cause it turns out I'm really good at avoiding mistletoe.

For the bugs. So they don't get away again. It's actually really useful cause now that they've tasted freedom they're way less cooperative.
