Tess has a self-imposed ban on sabotaging other houses after the... kerfuffle that she caused in 2011.
However, she is still very competitive, and very into Christmas. Because her housemates seem more interested in war than actually getting the ornaments on the damn tree, she takes up a two-fold mission: stay at home base and 1) get ornaments on the tree, either personally or delegating 2) defend the tree from attackers.
