NAILED IT. You saw that, right, Quinn guys? Ten back tucks in a row, baby!

[Warded to Quinn]

See? I could totally be Felipe the Brazilian circus performer. We could still run away and live the dream! What do you think?

Was moving Cheer practice into the Atrium really a matter of practicality, or was it your team's crafty way of showing off to all the pretty girls and handsome boys before Winter Formal? I'm onto you, Coppertale.

[Ty]
I have some bad news for you, Felipe Silva: my mandatory period of wallowing in self-pity is over and I may be okay with staying here for another month or two. May, at least until the next crisis happens. We'll always have Fake Rio?

(Very impressive, though. My applause and hooting was genuine.)

Are those two things really mutually exclusive, though?

[Quinn]

You're really willing to let go of your true calling as a fire-breather, Quinn? I just want you to be sure.

(I thought I heard you clapping. I aim to impress!)

Well, normally your practice would really only cater to the Coppertale Quidditch team. I imagine Stoker would have tired of that eventually.

[Ty]
What if we put the fire-breathing on the backburner (ha!) just for a little while so I have the chance to apologize to any walls that feel particularly hurt? (That's a joke, I promise I didn't end up punching any walls this time.)

I was there to study. It was not an easy task, I'll have you know.

Oh, okay. For a while. But only because of your excellent punning.

I bet. Almost makes a guy wonder why you didn't just go to the library or something...

So generous! If I get detention again I'll pack my bag immediately, I promise.

I had plenty of valid excuses! For example: the library was too loud, as per usual; I suddenly forgot how to walk up stairs; watching an impromptu Cheer competition was way more interesting than my Potions textbook (yes, that was actually my Potions textbook) and besides, there are some pretty cute cheerleaders in this school so it wasn't like I was going to miss that; somebody hexed me and I was stuck in that armchair; I'm thinking about leaving Quidditch to join Cheer and needed some pointers. How am I doing? Convincing yet?

I'm holding you to that.

So convincing. I definitely believe at least two of them.

Yeah, I have no idea who could have hexed me so badly that I even forgot how to get up the staircase. It's probably going to remain one of life's great mysteries.

Nothing to do with cute cheerleaders, after all? My poor bruised confidence and broken heart.

I did try to study! [...] But then my intentions went from 'academic' to 'lecherous' pretty fast. This is why I never leave the library.

Is there a way I can make it up to your poor, broken heart? I've got some Spello-tape around here somewhere...

I don't know. I might be inconsolable. But if you really want to make it up to me and you can't find your Spello-tape, you could... [...]

Go to the dance with me?

I mean, just for fun and just as friends (who occasionally fool around spectacularly)? If you're going and you want to and you don't have a date or anything, I mean.

There's a lot of questions in there so while I'm going to lay it out for you, Hawkeswood, because I'm feeling edgy; I'm going to give you my responses... in reverse order. (Luckily my rebellions against the Man and/or System aren't always so pitiful.)

6. I don't know what 'or anything' would mean (being chaperoned by Merrill...?) but I don't think we have to worry about 'or anything.'
5. No, I don't have a date.
4. Yes, I do want to go with you.
3. Yes, I was planning to go.
2. (Yes, it is spectacular.)
[...] 1. After a delivery like that, how could I say 'no'? I'd love to. (My Spello-tape feels inadequate because if its non-sparkly finish but I'm sure it will eventually become comfortable with its True Matte Self.)

Reverse order is so edgy. The suspense is intense!

6. Just consider the 'or anything' part of my chronic problem of talking too much? Yeah. It's probably that.
5. - 3. Important criteria. Check, check, and check!
2. (Right??)
1. That was the idea! [...] Great! This'll be great, Quinn. Promise.

1. I don't think you need to promise anything because I'm not doubting it will be anything but great, but I like the enthusiasm.

Between enthusiasm and back tucks, is it more of a scale or more of a tier?
