While Levi's birthday didn't go as planned, the disruption of detention wasn't actually too disruptive and Cecil still spent most of the day adoring the birthday boy. The pair ended the night stargazing, talking, cuddling (more or less), and generally enjoying each other's company. Cecil also gave Levi a couple of gifts:

★ A chocolate hazelnut cake (the approved exception to his baking ban!).
★ A rectangular box wrapped up neatly in space-themed paper and tied with a shiny ribbon. Inside, there is a new pair of gloves for Quidditch (to replace a pair that is worn and near to coming apart at the seams in several places) and a whittled figurine that is about six inches tall and which looks significantly more like a Tibetan terrier than Levi's current stand-in for his dog Chester (a rock).
