Rosy is such an awkward hugger, it's beautiful. It makes Chris want to hug her all over again, to teach her how to hug properly. And also kiss - but that was letting his mind wander to undiscussable places, because her lips were soft and her face was warm, and she'd giggled and Chris should've tried to go for a second time.
He lets her pull away, even though that is definitely not the way you end a hug Rosemary. "Drunk me and sober me don't coexist," Chris explains. "Drunk me can't ruin sober me's reputation because half of nobody's gonna remember half of this. Trust me, I'm an alcoholic expert." Chris follows Rosy toward the path home and puts his arm around her shoulder. He doesn't hug her again, but it's extremely tempting. "Can I walk you back? I wanna walk you back."
