Cecil Honeychurch ([info]choneychurch) wrote in [info]gooseberry,
In need of a little quiet and a little warmth, Cecil had decided to go inside for a while. Once there, though, he notices the immensely drunk Chris almost immediately and decides to check on him. He doesn't hesitate and heads over to him, watching with patience as the Coppertale notices him, flails around (looking for something?), and eventually greets him. "Hey Chris," he returns evenly, not reacting to how blatantly intoxicated the other boy is and sitting beside him with his back against the wall. This way, at least, if Chris starts to topple again, he'll have something to lean on. Then he smiles, not yet concerned enough to make it look too fake. After all, there's a lot drinking going on tonight. "Well. It's a small Grotto. How's it going?"

Without missing a beat, he also pulls a small 8 oz bottle of water from his coat pocket and offers it to Chris. It's not Chris' bottle of water, of course, but it's a bottle of water just the same. And the boy looks like he could use it.
