Chris let her take her hand back. "I don't know about soft either," he admits. "I haven't touched all of you yet." Okay, that last word came out accidentally and he doesn't really even notice it because Chris is immune to awkward while drunk. "You want another hug? We can huddle for warmth." He does a 'cmere' motion with his hands, but he envelopes her in a warm, massive hug (it's a feat okay, he's not really a big guy) before he can really consider any other alternative option. Rosy just seems upset all the time, and he understands that half the time he actively riles her up, but how many hugs does she really get?
Not fucking enough, that's how many. He's gonna make up for all that neglect. "I'm not smelling your hair because that'd be weird," he murmurs in the middle of the hug. "But if I was - I would say - your shampoo is on point. I'm not saying it is - I'm just saying - if I noticed the smell - that would be my opinion of it - which it's not because I don't smell anything - but it would be an accurate opinion - if I did smell something, which I don't." Not awkward at all. He is killing it.
