Cole doesn't need encouragement...but he does need someone to walk with. Calvin and his other roommates have already left and the boy is wandering around the Ribbonfin campsite, lingering between groups of talking friends and trying to find a way to break into someone's conversation to ask if he can go with them. He isn't afraid of the woods, but he's only been to the Grotto once or twice before and he's not certain he can get there by himself.
