Rafael has never had to cook for himself. Or do his own laundry. Or any household chores, honestly. He hasn't had to be domestic a damn day in his life, and he probably never will. He's political/celebrity royalty in Mexico and while he tries to keep it under wraps (to varying degrees of success), he's Spoiled. The basics of operating an oven confound him. He won't know how to do anything. He's guaranteed to get angry at a piece of cooking equipment.

the real reason quinn and rafael broke up is that she couldn't wrap her mind around how he can't do his own GD LAUNDRY

like

has he ever gone grocery shopping

has he ever cleaned a toilet

like

what would ge do if his son was at home

crying all alone on the bedroom floor cos he's hungry

etc

yes i realize that i once again got accidentally drunk off of one beer, please don't judge me it wasn't supposed to happen this way

Don't worry, Rafael picks up after himself and makes his bed. I mean, he's a tidy person? HE'S JUST REALLY LUCKY THAT THE HOUSE ELVES DO HIS LAUNDRY IS ALL I'M SAYING.

For the record he doesn't advertise this about himself. He doesn't talk to his roommates about how he can't cook or do laundry and has never gone to the grocery store. Chris MIGHT NOT KNOW. In fact, I give the following characters permission to know this shameful secret: Quinn, Ravi, Sun-mi, Ty, Saira.
