"Four months and a week today," Aveline corrected. "I haven't really decided, I'm open to suggestion if there's anything you thought of? But I kind of like Dresden or Alec or Dresden Alec together." She knew it was out there and Dresden was a city but her name was a city name too and thought it was kind of cute.
Aveline ordered a decaf cappucino and a raspberry tart. "There were a couple things actually. Oh, my 18 week appointment will actually happen in my 19th week on the 26th this month, if you still want to go." Did he even want to go? This sucked. She played with the napkin on the table. "And well, I'm taking this prenatal class, it's kind of--" Lonely? Awkward? Sad? "--well, I'm the only one there without a partner to do stuff with." Chicken.
She really hated doing this. She hated feeling like she was imposing on him. She hated feeling like this baby was her fault. It was his kid too, shouldn't he want to take an interest at least? Why did she have to shoulder everything? Don't get upset, Aveline scolded herself.
