Katie nodded, focusing her attention on Roger and what he was saying rather than looking at her menu right away. This was a side of him that she hadn't know existed and a part of her maybe felt a little bad at the moment for having pigeonholed him so well. It seemed that there was a serious side to Roger Davies after all, despite his reputation or the way she had always seen him in school.
"Of course," she agreed, noticing the server and quickly launching into a story about some funny thing Angie had done the other day, laughing as if they hadn't been talking about something very serious. She didn't know much about his job, but the name Unspeakable kind of said it all, really, and she certainly didn't want to get him into any kind of trouble for talking to her a little about it all.
"Everything looks so good," she said, glancing down at the menu, finally, as the server arrived at their table, furrowing her brow as if this was the most important thing they'd had to discuss, as if there were Death Eaters on the loose and she wasn't terrified that it was all starting again. "What do you suggest?"
A drink. She needed a drink, she thought. It was nice to see that maybe there was a little more to Roger than what he normally seemed, but she didn't want to think about what was going on in the world, not without some alcohol in her system.
