"Alright. Your wage is a pound over minimum. And if you're here long enough, you'll get a raise in a year, perhaps sooner," Aveline smiled. "I'll show you the kitchen, I serve little things from a menu at those tables." She pointed to three tables, each with two chairs, near the front window. "They're already plated, you just pull them out of the fridge or off the shelf. Charms keep it all fresh. Today, I made ice cream."
Aveline walked into the kitchen and opened the freezer. There were lots of little cups with a scoop of ice cream in it. "Matcha ice cream with a white chocolate mousse inside." She liked green tea ice cream. She'd had it in Paris of all places. "You just take them out and serve them. Would you like to try it?" Aveline asked as she reached for one for herself.
