Second Sight. [Narrative] Who: Bianca Dunstan What: Has a vision while making dinner When: Around 6 PM Friday evening Where: In her flat Rating: PG
Bianca had the day off and had unsurprisingly had spent it all baking. Her cookie jar was fully restocked, and she was nibbling on one as she was getting things ready for dinner. She loved to cook, and often times wished she wasn't cooking for one, but she never had the nerve to ask people over for a dinner party or anything.
She took a piece of fish from the fridge and set it on the counter. As she looked down at it, her vision went white around the edges. She knew what was coming and frantically moved to hold onto the counter so she didn't fall. She made it just before her field of vision went entirely white and she stood stock still in the kitchen.
Her little kitchen vanished, and was replaced by the sight first of a bright and round apple glinting in the light as if it were lacquered with gold. It hung from a tree with a few others of its kind, in what looked like a peaceful glen. As she watched, a cloaked figure reached for the apple. She couldn't see a face, but the sight of the person reaching filled her with a fear that stayed even after the vision faded, leaving her blinking in her living room.
She didn't understand the vision at all, but she memorized every detail. She'd record it later, but for now, she continued to make dinner, wondering why the image of someone in a cloak eating an apple was one of the most terrifying things she could recall.
