That pleased her. The thought that she might be the first one to try his new dessert made her smile. She had been flirting a little, but that didn't mean she was happy with the way he'd answered her.
He was a good dancer, too. Easily as good as she remembered from their adolescence. She laughed merrily as he spun her out and she didn't mind in the slightest when she noticed that she was closer to him once he pulled her back in. It was a little bit of deja vu, but she definitely didn't mind.
Her own cheeks warmed very slightly at the unexpected compliment and she murmured a soft "thank you" in return. There wasn't much else to say to that, but she definitely wasn't complaining about it. He really didn't have anything to be embarrassed about. What woman didn't enjoy hearing she was beautiful, after all?
