Yuuri found himself standing just at Viktor's side even without thinking about it. It was still so second nature. "Some friends you've got then," admitted Yuuri lightly. "At least what you know will be pretty useful around here. Being a professional athlete doesn't mean much for survival." He shrugged, but there was that famous self doubt and down talk again. Yuuri tended to down play what his talents really were.
He was a silver medalist, the second best figure skater in the world. Beat by a mere fraction of a point, in fact. But to Yuuri, he could just write that off as being a figure skater and leave it at that. That was part of who he was. Almost shyly, he reached out for a donut and took a bite of it. "Vkusno!" the Russian slipped out without him even thinking about it, as it had become common place between the pair of them. "It really is delicious."
As Viktor spoke about the ghouls reaching into the valley, Yuuri added thoughtfully, "Have you heard about anyone with some good self defense skills? Maybe they could keep watch more."
