Rachel wiped quickly at her eyes as she noticed Finn approaching, just to be completely sure that she wasn't tearing up and looking like a complete mess as he walked up. She had to have SOME dignity here. She kept her eyes focused on the space in front of her and took a deep breath as he stopped beside where she sat, and waited for him to sit down before he said anything.
Rachel would be really surprised if he hadn't at least been able to figure out what she was upset about at this point. It seemed everyone else knew, so why couldn't HE figure it out? He was supposed to know her better than anyone.
"Do you even know what it is that needs to be discussed?" She asked, her tone alarmingly flat and steady. She was maybe trying a bit too hard to stay calm and collected. She turned her attention on him finally, feeling that sharp pang in her throat as the urge to cry rose up again in doing so. Why did she have to be so emotional!?
