Who: Kurt and Finn When: Sunday late afternoon Where: The Hudson-Hummel House What: Getting ready for school after getting home from vacation.
Kurt walked in the front door, exhausted from his whirl-wind weekend adventure to New York City. He had a big smile plastered on his face, though, and a second carry-on suitcase that he hadn't had when he left home. Inside he had bags from Burberry, Isaac Mizrahi, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren, and J. Crew. Jackets, shoes, bags, scarves, shirts, waist coats, and form fitting trousers were expertly packed within the suitcase, and a sketch book lay on top. Ideas from some of the designs he had seen in the stores and windows which he couldn't afford (even though he could afford quite a few things, thanks to his mother's passing and his father's well run business), there were a few suits he would have loved to have if he had the money for it. Until then, he sketched what he loved, and made it at home.
Packed away neatly, safe in his checked baggage, was an exclusive Alexander McQueen design, and gift bag from the show. Not only had he gotten to see the show, and a gift bag (with a McQueen scarf inside), he had the opportunity to briefly meet with the designer who had complimented him on his trousers, which he had made himself. To say Kurt was on cloud nine was an understatement. Though he felt a little awkward around the two girls he didn't know very well, he had enjoyed himself for the most part, and kept quiet during their conversations unless it was about fashion or school. He didn't comment much on the boys they mutually liked, or the ones he didn't (especially when the others disagreed with one of his opinions), and it had been hard to not really let loose the Kurt Hummel experience, but he had reigned it in, and been a perfectly perfect guest.
He was happy to be back home, though, so he could hang his new items up, pack his backpack for school the next day, and spend some time with his family (as well as kissing up to his dad in thanks for giving him access to the credit card). He imagined he'd have his bedroom to himself, but of course it was the day before school, so Finn was down in the basement playing the video game system Kurt had hooked up, or the one Finn had brought from his old house.
"Hey, Finn." Kurt called with a smile as he set his suitcases down on his bed so he could unpack. "Have a good weekend?"
