Wanda was still very angry with herself for allowing this to happen in the first place. Sure she had been trying to protect her people, but she had allowed herself to be fooled too easily. Her father had warned her about people like that, but she had wanted to believe there was more good in the world. Maybe her father was right and no one could be trusted. It seemed that all she had left was her sister, and at the moment that was more than fine with her. Wanda knew she could count on Lorna, and that was all that mattered for the moment. Hopefully the two of them could figure out what was really going on here and stop it. More than anything Wanda just wanted to make sure the mutants that depended on her were safe from the prejudice of the outside world. Wanda was still laying back on the couch in her office, trying to come up with a new solution for their most recent problem. All of these new comers....what to do with them? None of them had really caused any problems yet....but officially something would have to be done. She wasn't like her father. She believe that the two races could live in peace if they tried hard enough. Maybe if she offered an olive branch of peace....allowed humans on the council. She knew this wasn't going to be easy, but if they were stuck here now too then they deserved to have a say. As her mind flipped over this option she stood from the couch and began pacing the room. Of course there was one person she could always talk to about anything. Most people underestimated Lorna, but Wanda always knew that she was smart and fair, so when it came to decisions like this Lorna was usually the best person so ask.
So, Wanda pulled out her phone and sent Lorna a message, asking her to come to the office for a meeting. Once the message had been sent Wanda laid her phone back on her desk and began to pace the office once again. This was usually how she handled things. If she was moving she could always think better. Sometimes she thought it was the one way in which she was like her brother. After several more moments she finally stopped and leaned down over the desk. she was engrossed in her thoughts until her phone begin ringing. She let out a frustrated sigh and picked up the phone. "Hello" she said nicely enough, but within seconds her tone turned harsh. "I am dealing with this as quickly as I can. You will have patience". For a moment she was silent again, listening to the other person talk, but then her face turned a slight shade of red and she snarled out. "You will not threaten me. I am still in charge of this island and if you don't like it you can find your own way back to the main land". Of course it was one the security guards on the island complaining about the recent developments..as if she didn't already know how bad this was....and how much more worse it could get before things were all said and done. Giving her more grief wasn't going to get it solved any faster. Finally her toned turned nicer, and she finished with "It's alright...just do the best you can and I will see if I can't come up with a solution".
With that done she hung up the phone and tossed it on her desk, the wear and tear of the day showing through on her face. She took in a deep breath, allowing herself to relax a little and then she stood straight and walked back over to the couch. She knew that stressing over this and wearing herself down wasn't going to help anyone, so she took her seat back on her couch and leaned back. She would just force herself to chill until Lorna got here, because there wasn't anything she could do without her sister's input anyway.
