Wanda knew that her sister was the calmer of the two of them. Oh sure Wanda was calm on the surface, but boiling inside of her was always a power that was ready to consume anything that got in her way. She had a control on it, but if the wrong person made her angry it was always more easy than she cared to admit to let that control slip. But she was determined that this wouldn't happen again. If anyone could control this power it was her; she had to believe that was why it was given to her and not someone else. At least that was what her father had always told her, so it was the one thing she had never doubted....not even for a moment. He did have faith in her. He had taught her everything she knew about surviving in this world, and for that alone she would forever be grateful to him. Sure he had his flaws like anyone else, and she had banished him from their shores, but that was only for the good of the people. It had nothing to do with her own feelings towards him.
Wanda certainly didn't have many friends on the island, but she knew that a woman in power couldn't always afford the luxury of friends. She hated that the power in their family was always thrust upon her sister, forcing them both to only rely on one another. Wanda didn't have much of a problem with that, because she felt like she didn't really need anyone else, but she hated knowing that her sister was forced into a life a solitude in this grimy palace.
When Wanda heard the knock on her door, followed by the footsteps of her sister making her way into the room she stood up from the couch. "Lorna...thank you for coming" she said with a small smile. "I thought we should get together and talk about the recent development in the city and how to handle it" she added, wanting her sister to know why she had been summoned.
