Lorna had no desire for her father to return to the shores of Genosha. They'd banished both him and their fellow sibling and brother, Pietro, for the good of the people here and Lorna couldn't help, but feel it was for the good of herself too. When her father had harbored here, living with them and ruling over the island and its occupants, the green haired teenager had been forced to live under his thumb completely. She'd been a people pleaser, specifically a "daddy's girl" for sure and no matter how he criticized or how much it hurt, Lorna continued to try and please him with everything she had. It never worked. Her abilities, while literally identical to her father's, were not nearly as developed and though she tried exceedingly hard to make them so, she just didn't have quite the same handle on them yet that Magneto did.
When he was banished by Wanda and Lorna, the young woman came into her own. She grew up and out of just the role of her father's daughter and into something more. Granted, Gambit's betrayal had been the major driving force behind Lorna starting this change and evolution of herself, but having her father removed from her life had been a true blessing. Yes, he'd always be her father, her sole surviving parent, and the man who cared for her and taught her a lot about herself and about her abilities. However, he was also the man that had pretty much imprisoned her on this island for all her life. If she left, he'd make it bad and she knew it. He would always be her father and she would always love him, but, for the time, she was grateful to have the chance to live without him. It gave her the chance to grow.
Lorna stepped into her sister's office and at the sight of Wanda's small smile, the green haired girl offered her one of her own in greeting. "Of course. Always," she assured her sister quickly. The island was filling up with people quickly and even though it was large, there was still problem of figuring out where to house all these people and most importantly, how to keep the peace here. "I agree. People are still coming and we have to find a place for them." The teenager took a seat on the edge of the couch and crossed her legs. "And they don't all know magic either. It's unfamiliar to them..."
