Jamie nodded, “Food and TV sounds good,” but he didn’t think he could call Sam. Maybe later. He was too busy feeling like an idiot now. “I hope it goes away soon. I’m bored of feeling it already,” and it was a joking admission, even if it was true.
He got to his feet, bracing his hands on his knees as he stood up, feeling the sharp pull of growing pains. It made him grimace a little. “See you later, I think I’m gonna go upstairs now. Put a movie on or something.”
He moved towards the door and stopped at the frame again, turning to look at his father again. “Dad, I- thanks for listening.”
