"Jamie... it would really be okay. You're my son-" Albert squeezed Jamie's knee, unable to really even vocalize how much he truly loved him. Macy had brought he and Laura together, she'd been a blessing. While Albert loved her like his own, he'd been there for Jamie's birth. He felt his son's kicking in Laura's womb, and heard his son's heart beating months before his birth. He'd loved and protected Jamie before he was even born.
"It wouldn't change how I feel about you. There is nothing that... Jamie. You'll love who you want to love, and you'll feel what you'll want to feel. I'd be- it'd be unconscionable for me to turn my back on you. We've raised you to have a good heart; part of that means being happy, falling in love, caring about the people around you. As long as- that's all I've ever wanted for you." Jamie's eyes were shifting color with a frequency that worried Albert, and he knew it was from stress or fear, or uncertainty. "If it is something else, it doesn't mean that you're different. You've just come to realize who you always were. If it's something else, then that's just who you are, and I love who you are."
