Alice offered a sheepish smile in reply as he pulled open the door and moved to step inside his apartment. It was awkward, knowing that someone was about to fill you in on some big secret, both because it meant he had been keeping them to begin with and because she had no idea what to do with herself in the meantime. She thought explaining the secrets was hard, but she was beginning to think learning them might be worse.
"Yeah, of course," she answered, attempting to keep the awkwardness out of her voice, though it crept into her body language as she stuffed her hands into her pockets and shifted her weight uneasily. "Everything's okay, right?"
