Michelle was registered. It was hard not to be when you parents were scientists who were apparently bored with their project when she got old enough to be annoying about it. Having a different name made it a little harder for people to figure it out, but it wasn't nearly as secret as she liked to keep it. "I'm not going to tell anyone," she answered after a pause, easing toward him with a small frown. "It's nobody's fucking business, right?" This conversation was getting too serious for her. She needed more liquor. With a frown, she reached for his cup again and took a much more reasonable sip, which she followed up with the sink again, then handed the cup back.
There was another small hesitation, and then curiosity got the better of her as she asked, "So like, what, you change stuff around? How's it work?"
