If someone had felt for Jaden's heartbeat at the moment, they would merely feel a vibration as his heart had now begun to beat almost twice as fast as normal, and since his heart beat faster than a normal person's heart already, he may actually have been rivaling hummingbirds at the moment. He smiled sheepishly as she played with the bit of hair, and yes, he was turning red again. "I never thought of doing that," he replied, having to work at each word hard to keep them flowing in a normal speed. He took another large drink from his cup. He tried to think of anything to say, but things weren't really coming to him. The part of his brain that was still attempting to focus was trying to visualize himself with green streaks, but the other part of his brain, which was on the bouncy side of tipsy, just kept saying 'A cute girl thinks you'd look cool with green hair! Do it!'
"Why green?" he asked in an almost breathless voice, feeling like an idiot the moment he did so. Who the hell cared why green? It was the only compromise between the two sides he was able to come up with. He chose to look at her hair momentarily. It was very cool. He wondered if he did say yes, would his hair look half as perfect with the new color as hers did with its colors? It made her look so damn cute.
He took another gulp of the drink, unknowingly allowing his buzz to persist. The good thing about that was the fact that if he had felt like this while not intoxicated at all, he likely would have tried to find something else to do. As it was, he merely just kept standing there, as though there was the only spot he wanted to be.
