Elliot walked outside to escape the crowds. Unfortunately she had missed the light snow earlier. That was one of the only times that she could almost feel a chill. It was a strange thing to be upset about, but she liked the feeling of a slight chill running around her skin. It only occurred during freezing weather and only if she was feeling calm, so missing this opportunity for the day was a little sad. She knew that her power was a gift, and she really wished she could gain the same control over it that JJ had. He even had a wife and kids. She was afraid to even get near a guy for fear that she might lose control. Usually she didn't mind, but for whatever reason she was feeling a bit more depressed about this lately. Maybe it was due to all of the couples wandering the mall Christmas shopping. Maybe it was because she had halved the dosage that she was taking so that she wouldn't have to go through withdrawal quite as severely as she did last week. She wasn't sure it would work, but it could at least get her one step closer to possibly getting off the shit.
She sat down on a bench and began fiddling with her new pink streaks. She had designed an outfit that went with this new hairstyle wonderfully. She wore a shimmering pink corset that had black cloth along each seam, both to bring out the shimmer of the pink and because it was less likely to tear with wear. She had a black lace skirt on that came down till just above the knees. She wore pink fishnet stockings that went all the way up her legs, and her favorite black boots to complete the ensemble. This was just her latest creation. A trial for things to come. A few people would walk by asking where her coat was. The older women just mumbled under their breath and walked off. She really didn't care what they said. She liked her new outfit, and it wasn't like she was about to get cold.
She then pulled a notebook from her purse and began drawing on one of the designs she had been working on for Presley's gift. She was never really good at getting into the holiday spirit, but she did like making her only friends happy. Despite anything she might do, they still seem to stick by her, so she did want to make sure they understood she appreciated them. She was also trying to think of something for JJ and Xavier. Guys were a bit harder since they were really the only ones she hung around, and neither of them really seem to care about wearing anything more than simple clothes, like t-shirts and jeans. She sighed to herself as she racked her brain trying to come up with something for the only boys in her life. Aside from Mao that is, but she usually chose not to spend that much time around him. Plus, he'd probably be cool with an earring from the store anyways.
