Kana Denmire ([info]the_new_hotty) wrote in [info]genome_project,
Elliot gave a small smile as JJ held the door for her, but she was feeling a bit uneasy about the whole food thing still. "Thanks," she told him as she ventured inside. The smell was wonderful due to how hungry she actually was, yet at the same time, she began to feel a bit queasy as well. How was that even possible? She found a booth nearby and settled into it. She ignored the stares of the people wondering where her jacket was. She was used to it, and honestly, she had gotten to where she no longer cared. She just didn't like jackets. At least she didn't like them on her. Some people she felt looked perfect with the right jacket. So, since her power allowed her to never have to concern herself with being cold, she just never wore them.

"I'll try my best," she told him, "Hopefully I won't burn my home down again." She gave a short laugh, though her expression was obviously not amused by the thought. The memory was something still haunted her to this day, as well as being the reason she continued to take the pills. "I guess I could just work with small scale stuff for now," she suggested, "Can't get in too much trouble for burning a candle, right?"
