She looked at him, some skepticism mixed with a bit of thankfulness as she tried to decide how serious he was about this. "You'd do that for me?" she asked. She mainly had to trust that she wouldn't get hot enough to overwhelm whoever her spotter was. Her brother was typically the best, but even he had to back away after the air got to a certain temperature. "Would I get in trouble for doing that?" she asked, "Not like starting fires is a very covert power after all."

It didn't take long to get to the place, seeing as it was only a few doors down. She waited for him to finish his cigarette. She wasn't in a huge rush to eat anyways. She was hungry, sure, but she still felt nauseous as well. It was the most annoyingly absurd feeling, being hungry and sick at the same time that is.
