Jasper John Mason ([info]istartthefire) wrote in [info]genome_project,
"Probably for the best." He hadn't really held down a job until he left the island. Something to do with living under his parent's roof and taking advantage of their neglectful behavior. It meant that he got a pile of money for takeout and groceries that he usually pocketed for video games and ramen. He'd really been a beanpole as a kid. But bad nutrition would do that to a person. All the same, he could identify with Elliot's need to take a day off. He'd called himself out of school a few times, or had Josie do it. There was no sense going in to school when you'd lit your homework on fire anyway.

If his client made a face, he was oblivious to it. She was probably just wimping out at her tattoo anyway. Not that there was anything comfortable about getting a tattoo on your foot. "I'm almost done here, so we can grab something to eat or whatever, if you want?" Having two kids totally didn't make this any easier. JJ's version of being socially adept when he was younger came in the form of being super cool and sort of sarcastic. This was a whole new ball game.
