Jaden watched the entire scene play out. He listened as both boys told him not to leave. He listened as Rolan said his part and was about to leave, and then, to his amazement, he listened as Mao got about as close to apologizing as he was likely to get. All of this paled in comparison to the final act by Rolan. Jaden's heart began racing at the sudden turn of events. He kind of wanted to run across the city and back. Somehow his plan to get the two of them to come to an understanding had gone even better than he thought it would. He was sure as hell never going to do this again, but damn.
His face was red, and he chose to turn his head to offer a bit of privacy for the two idiots. He really wasn't sure what to say, or even if he should say anything at all. He wished he could sit down, but the excess energy made that kind of impossible. When Rolan apologized for the PDA, Jaden waved him off, "Better than you two yelling insults at each other." His stomach then beckoned for him to pay more attention to food, so he turned his back to the two ate a piece of pizza, startlingly fast. He now really felt like he should leave. This time it was more due to the third wheel feeling.
