Rolan paused a moment when the hand was offered, and then pushed off from the wall where he'd taken up position at, feeling a bit sheepish. He should have been a little friendlier upon entering the room. Normally he would have been. Jaden was an alright guy, always around the field running off at that insane speed.
He shook his hand, gave a bit of a strained smile, and then went back to his perch. "You didn't have to do that. Could have pitched in for a couple pizzas from somewhere." He'd made them. Really made them, not just ordered. That only served to confuse him further. Was this an honest to God moment of reconciliation? Or, well, someone playing mediator? If it was, he was still confused as to why.
"Never would have thought you were friends with him," he said after a moment. And he didn't mean it as an insult to either. They were just, well, that different.
