Jaden's body had been vibrating, yes vibrating, ever since he started trying to figure out what was going on. He had a slight better understanding of why Mao acted like an idiot around people he thought were cute, for his own recent experience with Rielle had left him feeling even more sheepish about girls than he already had been; however, something about the way Mao had carried on was different than the usual make a fool of himself and move on tendency. This was the entire reason Jaden wanted to try to help out, but how was he supposed to know how to really help two people out? All he really knew was that the two either needed to get into a fight, which was hopefully not going to happen, or the two of them needed to stop acting out. The later part obviously was mainly Mao.
He actually had made the pizzas in a record time. He had the feeling that he may have left skid marks in the kitchen, but his body wasn't about to sit still. The thing that annoyed him the most was how long he had to wait for the pizzas to actually cook in the oven. Once they were done, he stored them in a few containers, called to his parents that he was going (to which a noticeable wish you would just stay here version of 'have fun' was called back to him), and moved at near top speeds to the meeting place.
Most of his time preparing was mainly him trying to think of stuff that didn't sound stupid to say. His only frame of reference for this stuff was what he had seen on tv or in movies. Not the best references to go off of, as he had been learning throughout the year, so when Rolan entered, he truly had no clue what to say. His body threatened to continue vibrating, but he managed to localize it to just his leg so it wouldn't look as weird. He offered a smile to the other boy. "Hi," he said and offered his hand to shake. That was what men did, so it was probably the best call for a greeting. At least he hoped. He also hoped that the fact there was pizza would be a bit of help in convincing Rolan that there was no trap. "The pizza is still hot," he told him, "I just took them out a couple minutes ago."
