"I just try to stay away from guys mostly," she told Eden. She got a little upset with the comment about Jack, but it was more due to her annoyance that he may be like that. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say that he was, for she did always see him flirting with girls other than Presley. She offered a faint smile at the comment about any guy who tried to gain Eden's interest would have a few people that he had to put up with as well as Eden.
El wasn't sure if it was the effect of the medicine, or the fact that she had probably gone through a bit more beer than she originally meant to, but she was feeling much more relaxed now that the conversation was mostly off boys. She figured she could never get close to a boy for real, and if she did, it could be hazardous to their health. That being the case, she tried to convince herself never to get too close to guys. Elliot nodded. "I know you didn't," she replied, "I just don't like the whole groupie idea. It's worse than prostitution." At least prostitutes got something out of it. Most groupies were just sluts. It was a relief when the conversation got back to something that didn't cause Elliot to risk melting her new cup. "Might be a good idea," she replied, "I think we both may have indulged in too much shitty beer to make a good decision." She ran her fingers through a bit of her hair, "I still think I like the idea of pink though."
