Scout laughed, both at Boo and Ian. Boo because he'd said something amusing. Ian because he'd said something bitter. Well, no, he'd sounded sincere, but the youngest Collins boy had heard the tongue-click.
"Boo. Nice to see you. Happy Thanksgiving," mimicked Scout, doing a pretty good imitation of their too-uptight brother. He smiled lazily at his older brother (the one he liked). Then, he tipped his head back to look at Gem and her smug smile. He cocked an eyebrow at her. "If Boo ever takes you up on that 'advice,' I'll come 'round every morning at four to get you up to come with."
The man settled back on the sofa, not bothering to make room for anyone. He crossed his arms behind his head and offered his sister a smirk as smug as her own.
