Re: Love the icon
Mao waited until the zombies were all focused on Jaden and shambling pitifully after him as if they could ever actually catch something that fast. Once they were distracted it was easy for him to stroll up behind the ones Jaden hadn't killed and finish them off. Mao's makeshift bo-staff sliced through the air and connected with the backs of zombie heads with satisfying wet, watermelon cracking sounds. Those Mao struck fell down into the motionless, properly dead heaps they were supposed to be.
As much as he wanted to go after all of the zombies in his path, Mao opted to stealthily trot directly to the pharmacy. He cupped his hands against the glass storefront and peered cautiously into the gloom within. It was trashed, but he didn't see any of the undead milling about, so there was a chance it was safe. With a paranoid look down both ends of the street, Mao pulled the unlocked door open a crack and slipped inside. He shut his eyes and sniffed the air like a dog. The only rotten smell he could sense was the stench that permeated the city from outside. The air was unpleasantly stale, but otherwise there were no signs there would be corpses to deal with while they rummaged for goods.
Mao smiled, pleased, and settled in to wait for Jaden. It wouldn't be wise to get too into searching for food and not notice if a zombie popped up. The buddy system was a must for the apocalypse.
