Mao wiggled his eyebrows with a cheeky grin, "You still can, I'll pretend to be surprised, promise!" He was more than a little comfortable with joking about his ambiguous sexuality. His bad luck with romance before all of this happened had gotten him into a state where he never expected anything to come from his dumb jokes so he was free to be a ridiculous as he pleased. Besides, as far as he knew Jaden was straight as an arrow so what was the harm?
He gave a little nod, "Canned goods and stuff people brought in for their lunches." Office people were prone to bringing in cans of soup, and if they were desperate, there would no doubt be bottles of Slimfast and Ensure, left behind by all those tubby middle aged secretaries. Mao and Jaden definitely didn't need to go on any diets, but those drinks were like a meal in themselves. It'd keep them going.
"Let's do the easy stuff first. We'll hit the pharmacy. Those office buildings could take all day." Mao didn't think they'd be too full of zombies, what kind of people would run off to work during an apocalypse? But there would still be a lot of rooms to check, and stairs to climb. Not a problem for Jaden, but Mao still had some limitations.
