Jaden glanced back, hand on one of the two hunting knives at his side. His grip relaxed after he saw who it was. "Doesn't look too bad for a couple of bad asses like us," he told his friend. He let a grin slip onto his face as he turned to face Mao. "Either we picked a good place to scavenge, or they're mostly inside the buildings."
He thought back to his run, trying to recall each of the stores that had stuff. "There's a drug store on the corner, and a couple of old fast food places here and there," he recounted, "Pretty sure the drug store will be the best shot for stuff that hasn't gone bad." He wasn't just saying that because he didn't like fast food. In fact, now a days, he was happy with any food he got.
"However," he continued, "If you're in the mood for some diamonds, I think the jewelry store is having a sale today," he grinned. "So where do you want to hit?"
