What: AU-Food run

It had been about a year since things went bad. Jaden felt guilty after every time he used his power. It wasn't survivor's guilt or anything like that. It actually had to do with the fact that he loved being able to use it in the open now. Not only did no one bother him about it, people actually praised him for using it. The guilt was just the fact that he figured he shouldn't be so happy since the world had to end for him to use it openly. He also felt bad about the fact that he had to eat so much. Mao and he had to do food runs all the time. It wasn't a huge issue for the two of them. They both had powers that almost seemed as though they were made for horrible situations. They were like a zombie ass-kicking duo.
Mao would be meeting him here soon, or at least that's what Jaden would continue to believe. Mao getting killed by zombies was about as likely as Jaden himself being killed by zombies. The thought made him laugh to himself. A year ago he was not this confident. Mao's personality must have been rubbing off on him.
Figuring he had a bit of time, Jaden took off running as fast as he could around the block. He took note of all the wandering corpses they may have to deal with later, and he also took stock of any store that looked as though it may still have stuff in it. He chose not to start yet. It was always best to have someone watching your back for these runs. He pulled a piece of chocolate out of his pocket to eat when he got back to the hiding/waiting place. He figured it would be a good idea to go ahead and eat something small so he didn't run out of gas before they were done. It didn't look like too much trouble today. Hopefully looks wouldn't be deceiving today.
