With a sly grin, Ariel's eyes swept from the members and potential member of Corporate Lobotomy to his deck shoes. He smiled at them and cleared his throat, bringing his attention back to Jack, his own mischievous smirk, then to Eden, who had repositioned herself behind her keyboard. He laughed at her comment.
"I thought that was a requirement to be in the band," Mr. Bowtie muttered to himself, as if distracted, before taking a deep breath. He looked to the drummer, to Toby, Jack and Eden, checking to see if everyone was ready. The microphone was in his hand, the volume low enough not to disturb the remaining Patels in the house. He counted himself down and started, not bothering to give any indication or hint as to what the song might be. They'd figure it out soon enough. The most difficult part would be to keep from laughing. "Uptown girl. She's been living in her uptown world."
Telling Ariel not to do something was as good as asking him to proceed. The boy adjusted his bowtie cheekily, like he had all the time in the world. He grinned over at Eden, winked at her and song from the bottom of his heart - all just for her. "I bet she never had a backstreet guy. I bet her momma never told her why."
