"Do you think this is easy for me?!" she exclaimed. "Do you think it's easy for me to see you with the boys and remember how things used to be? You're not the only one who's hurting."
The boys were coming back, and Mia shot him one last warning glare as she muttered, "I'm doing this for them because they are more important. And I swear to God if you ruin this for them, I am going to rip every hair of that hideous beard off of your face."
The boys were back outside, and Mia's face had warmed up dramatically. She had gone from ice queen to sunshine-y princess in the blink of an eye. "Okay, boys! Ready?!"
