Alice was personally happy that was she was worthy of a kiss at all by that point, and a small smile lingered for a moment, before she remembered that he had actually come over for a reason. "Oh. Yeah." She gestured toward the sofa where it was waiting. He had seemed pretty serious about it, so she'd sucked it up and made an ice pack out of ice cubes in a plastic bag with a paper towel around it. It worked well enough.
"Um." Ugh, she hadn't been awkward around him for months and now her awkwardness was coming back with a vengeance. "I think it's a hamstring thing. But it's not that bad, really." And she really didn't want to pay to go a doctor. She suddenly realized she was looking down at her feet like a five year old and dragged her gaze back up to look at him. "I've missed you."
